Winter Festival 2023

Welcome to the Innagural Toorangong Festival

Hosted by First Nations Peoples

Welcoming the cultures of the world.

2nd July 2023
Norah Head,    9am till 5pm

With incredible thanks and respect to our Sponsor Multicultural NSW, Umbela Brasil have partnered with the Mirring Aboriginal Women's Corporation to auspice this incredible event.

Come celebrate mid-winter, NAIDOC, Country, community and togetherness. Rebuild those networks through song, dance, story telling and a genuine Welcome to Country and blessing.

This celebration is hosted by the local Aboriginal Peoples of the Central Coast and surrounds and is a welcome to the new light within each of us. Symbolized by the longer days and shorter nights as we now head from the solstice towards summer.

Watch the mighty Toorangong (whales) swim past and enjoy the family friendly, all nations, all cultures, all creeds celebration.

Umbela will be MC'ing the Day with our gorgeous Everton Freitas (Dance Coach, performer and amazing talent), Samba Frog (for a Cheeky Samba) and then Banda Versa (for our Brazilian Winter Dances the Forro and Quadrilla). We will have Brazilian food and coffee on offer.
