Overview
Over more than a decade, Umbela Brasil has facilitated a series of transformative cultural exchanges with renowned Brazilian dance artist Rosangela Silvestre. Delivered across Australia, Brazil, the United States, Japan, Bali, and online during COVID lockdowns, these exchanges have introduced thousands of participants to Rosangela's unique methodology and approach to Afro-Brazilian movement practice.
Through workshops, mentorship, professional development, and community engagement, the exchanges have created opportunities for artists and practitioners to deepen their understanding of Afro-Brazilian cultural traditions while fostering meaningful international connections.
