Our Styles of Adult Dance Classes

We are available in Sydney, the Blue Mountains and the Central Coast for performances and run workshops in all three locations.

We run regular classes in Erina.

You can learn or see us perform in the following Afro-Brazilian and Brazilian styles:

The Silvestre Technique is a continuously evolving contemporary dance technique with the objective of conditioning the dancer through physical and expressive training – regardless of level or previous experience.

Traditional samba de roda or samba no pe of Rio. We like to concentrate on core, technique and sentimento – the feeling behind the samba. Very energetic and addictive rhythms and pace. Come dance in the circle or learn how to perfect your samba solo.

Modern dance based on traditional and sacred movements of the Orixas from Africa. Only suitable for certain venues (best on theatre stage or in festival street performance settings), this movement is based on sacred dance and is beautiful, poetic and inspirational to watch.

The dance represents the forces of nature. We dance wind, ocean and river with beautiful flowing costumes. Each Orixa has their own drumming rhythm.

As danced in Salvador Bahia Brazil, a contemporary fusion of all the styles using simplicity of colour & elongated movement.

The Yang-Mian system fusing tai chi, qi gong, calligraphy writing and yoga. Movements incorporate the three main circulations within the human body; blood circulation, mental/nervous circulation and digestive circulation.

Whole-body conditioning including flexibility, strength, coordination, and body awareness to allow freedom of expression such as in performance art, improvisation, partnering and release-technique.
